My Passion For Art - this year's extravaganza - will
run from the 7th August to the 31st August at the Phoenix Bar 46,
Broughton St EH1 3SA (telephone 0131 557 0234).
My Passion For Art is a frank and controversial exposition
of Aaron's encounters at the cutting edge of the Brit Art establishment.
In November 2003, he spent 12 days in prison after refusing to
apologise for throwing paint over Jake Chapman and his 'rectifications'
of Goya.
Whereas The Chapman Bros. are sponsored by the White Cube Gallery
in Hoxton, Aaron cites one of his main sources of inspiration as
the Cream Coloured Cube with bars on the window in Oxfordshire where
he was, for once, invited by Her Majesty to spend time in one of
her establishments.
He will also recount a brief history of art and examine its correlation
with comedy.
Mr Barschak knows nothing about either subject.
He will also recount his Passion in Jerusalem on
Good Friday 2004 and examine why images of this pilgrimage are not
just as valid as any other nomination for the Turner Prize. Yet.
PS Mr Barschak has no alibi for Great Brit Art Blaze on the night
of 23rd May 2004 but hopes that benefactors will support his appeal
and is also organising aRTAid by collecting tents, pickled
farmyard animals and coloured spots to help the tragic victims of
this global catastrophe. He welcomes donations.
